About Zoe Ferguson

I am a mother of 2 who enjoys working as a Swim Coach as well as inspiring kids to be the best they can be! In my spare time I love competing in triathlons and hanging out with my family.

I first started to get into swimming, riding and running a bit more seriously when I arrived in Australia in 1999 at the age of 23.  I first competed in a triathlon at age 24. Between then and having my 2 beautiful girls (2005 & 2008) I had competed in many fun runs and events such as the Pier to Pub 1km swim, Round the Bay in a Day Ride (approx 200kms), The VIC and TAS Bike Rides (600kms), Melbourne Half Marathon and Melbourne Marathon, Coomera Half Ironman and any local event which seemed challenging!

In 2010, I decided to raise some funds for children with cancer and set out to train for IMWA, which consists of a 3.8 km swim, 180km ride and a 42.2 km run!! At this time, I was juggling my children and full time work. Training was an outlet!!  My hubbie, Ferg was also happening to train for the same IM!!! Crazy!!! Miraculously we both finished the IMWA in sub 11 hours and I managed a 4th place in my Age Group (AG).

Since then I have loved competing in many triathlons and have had the privilege to represent Australia in most distances; Olympic (ITU – 2012), Half Ironman World Champs (2014) & Kona (2014 & 2016).

I am passionate about the importance of health and well being and enjoy talking to either large corporations or schools on the importance of having goals and being resilient as well as flexible when life happens to throw its challenges at you!

I love helping out and managing children’s duathlon and triathlon events and I currently coach a local netball team as well as help out with the local surf club nippers teams.

I have a BA (Hons) in Food & Consumer Management, am certified as a Triathlon Coach (Level 1), Personal Trainer (Certificate III), Sports Masseuse, Trainer & Assessor (Certificate IV in Training & Assessment), Bronze Medallion (Life Saving Victoria) as well as accredited with Working with Children.  I am a Nationally Accredited ASCTA Bronze Licence Coach and Teacher of Competitive Strokes.
